Pupils at Ysgol Derwenfa are provided with a range of different extra-curricular opportunities during lunch times and after school.

The Sports Council also regular meet to discuss which clubs they would like to see introduced. Our pupils views are taken into consideration, and the children have the opportunity to shape our extra-curricular programme.

Our School is currently accredited as a ‘Platinum School’ for Primary School Sport by the Flintshire Sport Development (Aura). This award has been achieved due to the School’s commitment to the Daily Mile, Sports Leaders Programme, extra-curricular clubs and sports festivals. Our children regularly have the opportunity to represent the School across a range of different sports.
